Dowager Baroness Pomponia of Clareia

Dowager Baroness Pomponia ͏͏͏͏

Pomponia was the dowager baroness of Clareia in Caerwent and the former custos of Duke Lucius of the Saxon Shore, who served as the acting duchess in his name alongside seneschal Sir Marvis de Revel.   She came from a long line of dukes, but her family lost their duchy through marriage when her elder sister Duchess Vipsania married Duke Ventrius of the Saxon Shore.   Pomponia was very rich, holding lands in Caerwent and Silchester, and was known to be cunning and devious.   She was poisoned at the Feast at St Albans.
