The ancients

The ancients were a species that completely controlled the fate of Bremos in the past. They mostly resided in Xernos, although a few individuals travelled all throughout Bremos using their extremely extensive teleport network. They were an intelligent species specialising in magic and magitech to the point that the modern magical environment would be primitive in comparison.

The downfall:
A large scale magical experiment backfired and flooded the area with highly Unstable magic, creating the Great desert and the Screaming forest. Many ancients that had travelled Bremos returned as fast as they could to try and save their species, but it was all in vein. The only ancient that survived was Arc Tzul, who was sealed in magic stasis in The Cinder Territories.
