Relationship to the World Congress

Corporations generally appoint an executive to the delegation to the world congress, as there are only so many seats, the corporations who pay the government the most get priority. Often times these corporations use this to advocate for their own business interests.

Large wealth gap - super rich business owners and executives, and poor almost indentured servants employed and controlled by one company or the other fueling the local economy. Largely actual income comes from overseas business.

The government itself controls the police, military and courts, organizing and managing them. As far as legislation goes, the government focuses on matters of economics such as theft and property rights. The government does not have any taxes, but instead charges a fee to participate and influence it, mostly paid by large corporations.
Aside from those institutions the government doesn't do much else.

*big thing 1 *big thing 2 *big thing 3 *big thing 4 Most mega corps have their own private army which the Ievahed World Congress tries to regulate counting a corperations standing security forces with the national army much to the protest and dislike of said corperations. Most corperations have essentally their own survalance network, (like facebook) which they use to spy on everyone, because why not when there's irl president. Fighting between them is actually quite common, although rarely public. Ironicly because they hate eachother and all own their own large media outlits, smart citizans can get a picture of whats going on, and who is responsible by watching every corperation's news and seeing what's included and what isn't.

Generally, make money, and fight corporate regulations. (note to self, this could actually be why they are anti Ievahed World Congress galactic imperialism, because the corporations want to do it themselves unregulated.
