The Daishe deposit their carven totems and runestones wherever they go, and the oldest were dropped at around this time in what is now the cellar of one Mr. Cedric Bookskeep, Krull. At the time of the small bird figurine's creation, the Daishe would have been (uneasily) sharing the land of the Crotch with sparse Immortals of different sorts. Since this predates First Timber, it is speculated that these tokens of human craft might have been used in barter with the Mysties of the time. Such a barbaric and unnatural hypothesis has been occasionally set forth in the last decades, and deserves all the contempt which it instantly arouses.
