The Crotch Thaws

The great glaciers that shaped The Crotch have melted.

The origin of the short-lived, highly-energetic glacial pall which covered Bloodmarsh for a few hundred years is still a mystery. It seems like they grew out of nothing for no reason, and vanished just as rapidly- in fewer than 100 years, it has been estimated. Whatever the source, the highlands now dividing Bloodmarsh's planes were left untouched, as gravity held the fury of the glaciers in their valleys. To this day, these ridges stand like impenetrable walls above the valleys, with their high crops of Old Growth trees spearing well into the clouds on some days. When the ice melted, it opened the way for humans to colonize and farm the rich, tilled lowlands left in its wake.
