The Editah'

The Editah' (pronounced ed‧i‧tor with a breathy emphasis on the "tor") is a device that edits the descriptors of persons, places and things. It's made by those with Magical Affinity but anyone can use it for a quick edit on a persona.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Here is the skinny on how it works. By pointing the Editah' to a person, you can edit their appearance at will by adding or replacing specific words in their genetic makeup, which in the Black Marble are just more words that describe the character. You can edit pretty much anything, but they have to be as eloquent as the writing. You can't just put in "purple hair" and call it a day. It has to be put in a grammatically correct sentence that people can understand and not use words.
It's a great item on the go if you want to change your appearance or status on the flash or pretend to have a really interesting backstory, just make sure you reset it back to normal and do not give yourself anything that would prevent you from doing that. Like trauma. Or death.
Oh, and make sure when using the Editah', save your work and if using it on a person, make sure you don't get caught, any sudden jerk and movement during its editing mode can get rid of all of your work so make sure to save often, save frequently, and save in a safe distance.

First, it needs to be built by someone under a magical affinity. The rest I don't know, but it's made.
