A Shocking Adventure!

It's your baby daughter, my baby daughter, they're everyone's baby daughters. Now performing WIP, it's the one, the only, Lorraine Ipsum
— Get on up! Get on up!
Write a one-shot adventure for your world that is ready to run for a Game Master
Hi, I'm a Quote. I'm here to say that this box that you're reading is for the words NPCs say to the party.
— Quote
Hi, if you are reading this, you are talking to the party, Gamemaster to Player

To make a long story short

Hi, Tonnerre speaking. It appears that our Gatekeeper, Raiker is in a very bad mood and closed the gate of Thorrig. I know that Raiker made a state of things in there and we could use some young strapping adventurers to help open the gate and fix the state of things. I'll throw in one of my lemon beignets as a reward.   - No Birds
— Elder Tonnerre

Act 1: The Depression

Please welcome to the stage, Lorraine Ipsum. We see the dragon of Rock and Metal shred on his guitar in a band. Flash to today. Yada Yada. There is a request in the app that something is going on in Thorrig, go there and check with the elder. Now, fair storyteller. The players arrive in Outside Outlet in a way, through the Kirin, or whatnot. I prefer that since the Chysomallos is a train travelling throughout the coast.

Outward Outlet

A quaint little strip mall outside of Thorrig. It holds six portals, leading to six different stores that change every day. It’s just bustling with people eyeing what’s going down in Thorrig. Might be plenty informative to talk to them. There are, like, eight in total, but I can help you thin it a bit.

What's going on there?

Let me introduce to you, your wise and elegant NPC's that are doing stuff there as your players' fight amongst themselves. First and foremost is Tonnerre, the elder of Thorrig. He is busy and bossing around Magnard Lietstien and Kamille Tanngnjóstr to fix the gate. Tonnerre is kind of all-knowing, most people say he lived this event over and over again and knows the end result, others believe he is crazy. Magnard is the same type of crazy, but it stems from paranoia and a firm belief in the apocalypse happening tomorrow. For events like this, he Due to how things are going, it's gonna take more than a week. Hence why Tonnerre made ad space and why the party now has a job.
So you are the replying party? Hmm ... you look a little frayed on the wires, but it'll do. My name is Tonnerre, I am the elder of Thorrig. I'm having a problem with the Gatekeeper. Now no one can get in or out of Thorrig. Could you get in there and do something about it.
— A rightfully busy Tonnerre
One person, in particular, Lin-Ivor, Kamille's son, has a way to breach Thorrig by scaling the Thunderwall. He wouldn’t tell you or the party unless you know his secret as Grinder or Ivory Lightning.   There are even people travelling far and wide witnessing a potential car crash in a race or a storyteller flailing on a story. Anyway, there are four you should worry about. Nanba is a surfer from Anya, the Dreamland of Pineapples somewhere in the golds. He's taking a break after an astral wave in Zitronenstadt, Dreamland of Lemons. Paris Hall was just visiting Thorrig and waiting for the Kirin to take her back to Umbrasol, the land of Umbrellas. She decided to stay to see the drama unfold. Adamiel Brontembury is a Swolecasting Tempestmancer from Eftrassa, the land of Strawberries. Most of his spellcasting friends are trapped in the walls of Thorrig, and he wants to bust that wall down and help. The only thing that keeping him back is the looming storm that he keeps staring at.   Oh and then there is Zakaraius, some cool cat from Aversquare that can summon lightning through his guitar. Something tells me that Zakaraius knows about Lin-Ivor’s plan on breaking in and plans on tailing him.   If the party would leave the outlet to investigate the Kirin, they would note that Zakaraius and Lin-Ivor had also left. Different reasons of course left to head to Thorrig.

Shops

Like I said previously, the outlet has three portals, which leads to three stores. it should be noted that the shopkeepers would know about the situation in Thorrig as much as a passive listener listens to the news.   Anyway, these are the three stores.
Cadet Jaq
A hip brand shop for people who like a land soldier aesthetic without the commitment of a land soldier style. Its interior is two stories overlapped as a story in a half. Military weapons are on the lower floor, fashionable military gear on the upper, and the cash registry and the portal are on the intersection.
Hardenpore's CornHub CornHub is a shop for magical items in the form of corn. Heck, Zemaius Hardenpore is willing to sell you magical corn for a fact of yourself. Though he might be a bit dejected on his predicament.
Scroll down to see mini-quest: Candied Kernal Mystery
Drane Apothecaries
A magic store run by a family of witches selling vegan and ketogenic materials, items, and components for spells.

The Kirin

Ah, the Kirin. Its hard exterior still shines a radiant yellow. The conductor this day is Pina Butter, she's pretty bummed about not completing her route, but not too much since this is an impromptu paid break. There are only two travellers and a concierge riding the Kirin other than the party, Leonard Park, Lysavius Hobbage and Ripley Esword. Leonard had a gig in Zitronenstadt that would jumpstart his career. and Lysavius Hobbage is a druidic priest. Ripley is a concierge and currently in his sleep.

Kirin NPCs

Piña Butter: Female Conductor. Pina has highlighter hair in a frizzled bob tied back. She has a southern charm to her voice with an outfit that screams "Taximeter Cabriolet is three gold for a ride, and three more by the mile". By the by, did you know that Taximeter Cabriolet has been leaked for Dragoness Intergalactic? I think she might tell you more if you bring fashion, makeup, or something along those lines.   Leonard Park: Leopard Musician. He's most noted to wear leopard print. A former sports star trying to get into the arts as a musician.   Ripley Mader Esword: Sleepmancer. He's the concierge of the Kirin and is kind of new in his job. He has blue hair and tends to sleep on the job. Just talking to him makes you feel sleepy.   Lysavius Hobbage: Druid. Face like an apple, hair like a tree. Thoughts of a vegan. He might know something about getting in through the gate, but he's not sure how. Uses an assortment of daggers when fighting.

Act 2: The Storm

Players walk among the outskirts of Thorrig and avoid the lightning that strikes down. There's a reason why Tonnerre specifies "no birds", electrocuted birds is a delicacy in Thorrig, and most native Thorrigians who live in the outskirts, hunt them with lightning spears. Of course, they would eat other forms of electrocuted beings, but the birds are so tangy and tasty that you can eat them on the outskirt floor, which is fair game because the floor is a cloud unless it is a railway where it gets run over again.   Anyway, you either go by the wall or by the gate. The gate is easy to get across with Lysavius but hard to reach Raiker in Act 3 while ascending the wall and traversing unhinged is both moderate.

Scaling the Thunderwall

The wall is made of pure thunder and lightning. Grinder says that Lin-Ivor gets over these walls daily, and Grinder has a bodysuit he wears that negates the effects of electricity. Grinder tells the party about the panels scattered throughout the wall. Some parts of the wall are fine and easy to climb on, others deliver a nasty shock. Grinder and Zakaraius have ways to protect themselves from lightning, but if any of the party touches a bad tile, it would not only deal a nasty shock to them but would change reset the wall with a new pattern.

Through the Door in Plant-like Fashion

If the party has Lysavius following them, they are in for a treat. Lysavius is a practising chef and knows how to make a meal that can temporarily give the party enough resistance to go through a lightning gate. All you need is some good electrocuted chicken and some lemons and another edible ingredient and your party would be rolling in Thorrig with style as a giant salad sphere.   Here are the three items you need to get through the gate.   Fly Bird Carcas, don't worry, the fallen Fly Birds bought the dragon poultry beforehand, it even came prepackaged.   Cloudy Mayonnaise, poor Cloud Bandits only wanted to make a sandwich.   A Lemon that is Not a Lemon. The Lemming Deviant looks like one.

Act 3: The Dragon of Fire and his Thunderous Song

My goodness, we are close! The party in question are almost there and has to get to the eye of that storm. You can tan take two routes this time.

Traversing the Wall

For those who ascended via the wall, you can run along the ridge to face Raiker. Be wary of the spotlight though, Raiker tends to blow a galeforce.

Head-On Assult

For the players who crashed through the gate with the power of plants, it would be notably battle focused since no one can ignore a loud crash like that. He would send in his Shock Rockers in Nightmare form after you, but it is possible with your +1, Lysavius. Heck, maybe Grinder and Zakaraius would notice, take pity on the poor party and gain two more members.   I guess I can talk about the monsters the parties would face.   Shock Rockers. The Shock Rockers are Raiker's fan group. But these are their nightmare forms, so they are a rabid bunch to handle. Their metallic helms are tethered to the sky through a black wire. All weaving a weblike pattern toward Raiker.

Act 4: The Attack of the Dragon!

You made your way to the top to find yourself in darkness as a bog of scribbles and paper wade around your waist. To any creature that is small, regardless of whether or not they can not see above their head, you are drowning. Faint music is echoed in the darkness. Do you venture forward?
Party. As you venture toward the music, you notice that you are going deeper into the lyrical lake. By now, you start to think that you should've packed a boat. Raiker furiously scribbling on a piece of paper.

Diplomacy flopped!

This is where the boss fight starts. All that rage inside of Raiker finally releases and became his nightmare form. His hair is of a large snake and his body becomes the maw of a terrifying beast. You can hear his fans roaring from the ground to the cloudy stands as he is to perform a number. The song isn't bad, it actually reached platinum, though it is a real party killer when played.

Act 5: Épilogue!

So. What happened? The dreamers dove in and defeated the dragon, but what comes after that? Notably, the party had killed Raiker and is heading to the White Marble. Don't worry, he'll be back in the Black Marble later, he just needs some time to chill off.

Tonnerre Profile
by Hexingale
Tonnerre: Elder Elder
Tonnerre is the leader of Thorrig who is also an Elder, short for eldritch abomination. Same name, who knew. He looks like a miserly old man with jellyfish skin and a French accent, but under the guise is left for the imagination to run like a dog in a marathon. Like most Elders, they resent their creator and try to cut all ties from them.

Magnard Lietstien: Fulgurborne Engineer
Magnard is a Furlgurkin engineer tasked to fix the shut gate. He is a born Fulgurborne so he literally is made of lightning, though he tends to possess a myriad of metal armour.

Kamille Tanngnjóstr: Female Human Blacksmith
She is the proud owner of Kamille's Armoury and Magnard is his regular customer. She tries to look cute back in the old days where she was a sex symbol in Shockspire, though stardom fades and she needs someone to blame for her beauty disappearing. If you really want to know, you don't need to look far.

Lin-Ivor Tanngnjóstr: Male Human Blacksmith
Kamille's only and most hated child. He's very lean and is kinda in his punk Viking fraternity phase. But between you and me, I think he's double-dipping in the NPC outlet as some superhero.

Nanba Arizome: Male Bananakin Surfer
Nanba is a surfer from the Dreamland of Pineapples. He's taking a break after an astral wave when the lockout happened, his pink boardshorts are still wet from the Dreamland of Lemonade. He has a partner named Ananas and they are homeless by choice, but whatever you do, don't touch him, he's a Bananakin nudist and can feel the microorganisms on his body.

Paris Hall: Female Umbrasolian Dame
Not much can be said about Paris. She loves drama though, and a huge catastrophile.

Adamiel Brontembury: Male Strawberry Swolemancer
Adamiel is a swolecaster, someone who cast spells by physical fitness, specializing in Tempestmancy. He's may be on the run from Eftrassa, but he is currently stopping in Thorrig to see what is going on.

Zakaraius: Male Cat Guitarist
Not much is known about Zakaraius. He is a blackish cat set to meet with the dragon in the sky.

Shopkeeps

Armon Greene: Male Dragon Soldier
Former soldier of the Dinas Draig Army, the Land of Dragons first line of defence. Now works in a quaint shop on fashionable military wear.

Zemius Hardenpore: Male Human Truthsayer
Is all ears with his shop

Madria Drane: Female Vampire (Human) Witch
The middle shopkeep of the Drane Family lineage. She is the most put together of the Drane family, but that is saying something.

The Kirin

Piña Butter: Female Human Conductor
Pina has highlighter hair in a frizzled bob tied back. She has a southern charm to her voice with an outfit that screams "Taximeter Cabriolet is three gold for a ride, and three more by the mile". By the by, did you know that Taximeter Cabriolet has been leaked for Dragoness Intergalactic? I think she might tell you more if you bring fashion, makeup, or something along those lines.

Leonard Park: Male Leopard Musician
A former sports star trying to get into the arts as a musician. He wears an elegant and active red, which suits the mood he is in. He's in a bit of a bad mood since he's late for a gig in Zitronenstadt.

Ripley Mader Esword: Male Concierge
He's the concierge of the Kirin and is kind of new in his job. He has blue hair and tends to sleep on the job. Just talking to him makes you feel sleepy.

Lysavius Hobbage: Druid
Face like an apple, hair like a tree. Thoughts of a vegan. He might know something about getting in through the gate, but he's not sure how. Uses an assortment of daggers when fighting.

Thorrig Outskirts

Proto Ivory Lightning (Grinder): Male Superhero
A superhero from Protogarus, I think I've seen this person before.

Fly Bird
Bird is an accurate way to describe a scaley glide dog lizard thingy

Cloud Bandit
Cloud humanoids that had gone to the dark of thievery.

Lemming Deviant
Says exactly on the tin, demonic lemming humanoids with the lower half of slugs. Fine. It might have a skosh of nut and battery acid but nothing more.
