Bird People Thing.. (Subject name to change)

Set in a world that could be ours, the human race split into two distinctive groups that developed independent of each other: avian humans and non-avian humans. While the non-avian humans have settled on basically every continent on the planet, avian humans were content with staying on their own. For most of the time the two groups had virtually no contact with each other and only in the recent 30 years have the non avian humans become interested in that one leftover continent. But this is of no interest to us.   Apart from any outside influences the avian humans could make up their own cultures and languages in peace, without the constant political pressure or wars. The human world is stressful enough already. And their continent is diverse enough to support many many different cultures and customs. In the dense, foggy tropical mountains for example, the people have started to build houses on the cliff sides. Since they can fly there is no need for conventional building rules or roads, so wherever the terrain would support it, a house was build, with wooden bridges connecting the mountains. In the wide desert half of the settlements are above ground with the other half dug in the sand and soil. In the north, where it gets colder and the land is split into smaller islands, most people live on houses build on the water and use the islands for farming only.   There is no real plot, just a collection of various stories of various people, more or less as a playground for my mind.
