Timich-Jet (timiʧ-ʤet)

In the Ogdimish language, Timich-Jet means literally the "end of the road". Originally this name was used to designate a building that was not a hospital, but a rearguard military building. There, the mortally wounded soldiers were sent to die. After being tended in frontline hospitals, noble-born officers were sent, when it was possible, to be able to say goodbye to their families.
However, as much as the name could evoke some metaphoric content, it was usually built in the outskirts of cities, at the end of a road. It was meant that way, so the noble families would not have to pass amidst the common folk in the city centre, in such a painful situation. Slowly it was also allowed for common soldiers, under special conditions, to be tended there with palliative care and say goodbye to their kin. Even though it was very busy in wartime, in peacetime, its function gradually changed to take care of surviving, but handicapped, soldiers. It started to be a centre of treatment for them, noble families only had an appreciation for completely recovered heroes. Anyone who became a living testimony on how terrible wars could be was ostracized. Strangely in this matter, common soldiery has a slightly better treatment, at least to the one who was able to work, despite their challenges. When one of the princes of the Royal family lost his left leg during a battle, different measures were taken. It started some change, and nowadays side by side with the physicians, artisans work to create artificial limbs of different scales of advancement in their fine craftsmanship. Rich and nobles paid to get highly crafted limbs created to make their life almost normal. The profit was used for making simple limbs for the common soldiery so they also could have a new life, and could proceed after reaching the "end of the road".
