Raaguts (/ˈraaguʦ/)

The Raaguts is a high tower standing on the border between the Sirizian and the Ogdimish Kingdoms. The building is just a ruin, but e shrouded in mystery and legends. Its position is very close to the top of the triangle of the main Big Basin delta, close to the big river does not contribute to deciding to what kingdom it belongs. It was built with yellowish square stones, which make it shine during the day. It makes it possible to be seen from kilometres afar in the flat river plains. During the night more than once there are reports of it been also seen glowing from afar. Even though none of the travellers had enough courage to check it closely. The tower leans to its front, towards the sea, but it didn’t fall apart, just seems to sink under the shifting sands of the riverbed that run under the surface which is responsible for the changes at a slow, but steady, pace for the morphology of the delta. Both kingdoms claim it was built by their ancestors, so they should rule over the full delta. Many battles raged around the Raaguts for centuries, but possibly more, as its stones show many very worn marks, due to projectiles launched even before the appearance of the great kingdoms. Travellers who camp in one of the margins of the big river, waiting for been ferried through the other side on the next morning also claim there are not only lights, but distant battle sounds coming from the tip of the delta. Screams and yowls who cannot be distinguished from man and beasts alike fill the nights. Usually, nobody wants to spend the night there, preferring to spend another night in the closest village and losing a full day to stay overnight fearing not to seem the next dawn.
