Sending Spire

The Sending Spires of Haven were created to allow quick, long distance communication. These magical devices are crafted with a blend of technology and magic. With a spire located in each of the Pillar Cities, this technology allowed a boom of development. Long lost were the days when it was required of the people to travel through the treacherous wilds to do business. This allowed for fewer trips into the unknown where eventually it was only done in large caravans intent on carting goods and travelers. Created by Alvirn Sunscore at Artemus Institute, the Sending Spire was seen largely as a disappointment. Long distance communication, said to be disrupted by the protection spells on the barriers, was always out of reach until Alvirn devised a way to circumvent the issue by raising the magical wave that the communications were sent through. What he had been wanting to create were personal communication stones that could be carried on the person. Unfortunately, he was unable to secure that smaller scale device, but was heralded as the greatest magical inventor of the age.

This communication device allowed the linking up of the Pillar Cities, which would turn out to be integral in sending aid in the event of a disaster, or for the God-King's forces to monitor and control the masses. Information is sent from informants quickly and with no record or trail. Many events throughout time would have unfolded differently without the presence of The Sending Spires.

Access & Availability
The usage of the Sending Spire is said to be available to everyone, however, realistically there is a very long wait for personal usage. It can take an infinitely long to make it up the personal usage waiting list without good connections and a monetary donation. Alternatively, for the hour after dusk, there is an open usage hour. The line generally is already there from the day before. It is not unheard of for someone to wait for days in the line to make their sending.
