Scarlet Stanislaus

Dr. Scarlet Eleanor Stanislaus (a.k.a. Jolene Osborne)

Dr. Stanislaus was a virologist who gained notoriety for her work during the Silent Scourge. She was a voice of reason in a sea of conspiracy theories and misinformation, always informing the public of her findings and potential breakthroughs. Scarlet often criticized the American government for their mishandling of the increasing number of climate catastrophes. She worked closely with several relief organizations worldwide, funding their missions with her personal wealth when she could. Openly opposed to large scale pharmaceutical companies, Scarlet was a target for smear campaigns and even assassination attempts. It never discouraged her, especially when those same companies tried to cash in on the rise of infectious diseases like the Silent Scourge.   As society continued its downward spiral, Scarlet Stanislaus did the unthinkable. In 2062, she launched an incursion against the pharmaceutical company, Averex, and bombed their headquarters in New York. Despite the company's attempts to pin that on her, no substantial evidence was found and by late summer, Averex was dissolved. In the year 2072, Scarlet reluctantly accepted an offer to join the Cerberus Pact's science division in Detroit, Michigan. She was placed as the head of their biochemical research team and tasked with studying the short and long-term effects of biochemical warfare.   Fearing what the Cerberus Pact might do with that kind of information, Scarlet Stanislaus destroyed all of her crucial research, and fled. For several years, she went into hiding and lived under the identity of Jolene Osborne. The Cerberus Pact eventually caught up with her and ended her life. They never tried to hide what happened, but they grossly miscalculated what the public's response would be. Scarlet was known as a compassionate woman and as such, she had touched the lives of many, even those she never got the chance to meet. Her death was a bright stain on the Cerberus Pact's reputation, forever gaining the distrust of the general public.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Scarlet Stanislaus was a woman driven by curiosity, compassion, and the desire to help those who didn't have the resources to help themselves. She loved to travel the world, especially alongside relief organizations, and was hands-on with their missions. Despite her wealth and the family she came from, Scarlet wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty. If something needed to be done, she would do it with no questions asked. Even after witnessing decades of hardship and the worst of what humanity had to offer, her dedication to compassion never faltered. With the collapse of modern society, her methods of changing the world became chaotic and sometimes extreme.
