Orc
Orcs on Bastarre were once like orcs on other words: violent, brutish, and nasty. War and conquest were their main goals, and they delighted in tormenting and subjugating those weaker than themselves.
The opening of the Hellgate changed everything.
While the change was not immediate nor all-encompassing, over the course of two or three centuries, the vast majority of orcs had become something unlike they had once been. Tempered by the help and alliance of elves all over the world, the orcs transformed into staunch defenders of good, warriors against evil with little resemblance to who they once were.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
In general, the orcs of Bastarre look down only on the fiends that inhabit the world. They look most kindly upon the elves and gnomes, although humans and dwarves are also considered close allies.
