Moonreach Fiber
The Moonreach plant grows in great abundance throughout the plains of Ovidan. It is a hardy plant that, when harvested and woven by the adept hands of Ovidanian weavers, creates a fabric that, while thin and lightweight, has the remarkable ability to protect against both heat and cold. Add to that the fact that the fabric is quite resistant to damage that comes from the rigorous lives of the clans that wear it, and you have a highly desirable and well sought after material.

Properties
Material Characteristics
Fabric made from the Moonreach Plant is a pale green in color that shimmers dimly in the light of the full moon. It can be woven rather thinly, but the qualities of the plant from which it comes make it difficult to cut through without some effort.
Physical & Chemical Properties
The qualities of the plant, which grows in abundance year-round in the country of Ovidan, are imparted to the fabric itself. It helps protect to some degree against both heat and cold, making it a highly desirable material. It is also nearly immune to normal wear and tear, one garment capable of lasting many years without losing its usefulness.
Geology & Geography
This material is found nearly exclusively in the land of Ovidan, the only place the Moonreach Plant grows. While there is some trade in the fabric, the Ovidanians are careful to trade it only sparingly due to the fact that the plant from which it is made takes some time to grow to maturity.
Life & Expiration
The fiber is known to hold its resiliency for a number of years, some garments from which it is comprised lasting up to a decade or more.
History & Usage
Everyday use
This fiber is used primarily in the creation of clothing. However, it can also be used to make blankets and towels, and occasionally tents as well.
Distribution
Trade & Market
Things created from this fiber are rarely traded outside of Ovidan.
