Brightwater

Nestled within the lush Emeraldleaf Forest, Brightwater is a town on the edge of the largest lake in Rusthearth. The town, partially built on the lake, thrives on fishing and offers brilliant views with its sparkling waters and plant life. As a crucial crossroads between Goldhaven, Thistledown, and Plainsfield, Brightwater serves as an important link for travel and trade in the region. A notable feature of Brightwater is a crater in the town centre that is said to have been made when a dragon fell from the skies and landed there.

Brightwater is home to a sizable amount of people for its size and location. It is the home of many gnomes and halflings, sometimes called the Town of Feet. Aside from its general business of fishing, farming and transport of supplies and people, it houses the only Alchemist within a 10 kilometer radius, keeping him always busy.
The economy of Brightwater is based on fishing and herbalism. The lake provides a steady supply of fish, while the surrounding forest offers a variety of medicinal herbs and plants.
