Plainsfield

Plainsfield is a small but resilient town in Rusthearth, renowned for its extensive crop fields that support a thriving farming community. As the southernmost settlement in Rusthearth, it plays a critical role as an agricultural hub. Most of the land is owned by a family of Drow that has served as kind "rulers" in a land of no governemnts 
Unlike many other towns, Plainsfield has retained its formidable walls and maintains an active guard force to protect its residents and their livelihoods. These defenses are necessary due to frequent attacks from the southern frontier, primarily by goblins and other goblinoids. Recently, a new threat has emerged in the form of Wispers, eerie creatures that blend the ethereal with the natural into odd versions of them. One night, a single Wisper destroyed an entire section of the town before it was finally subdued, underscoring the ever-present danger facing Plainsfield.
This attack lead to a statue/ monument being built to honour those who died and the hero who ended the wisper and then vanished as he once arrived. Over the years, some people began to share the beliefs of Lunares, Goddess of the Moon in an attempt to make sure those that died were treated with repsect and kindness like they showed them during life.
