Dun Morough

The icy mountain valley of Dun Morough lies between the Burning Steppes to the south, the green lively Loch Modan to the East and the marshy Wetlands to the North. Secured by the Khaz-Modan Mountains and home of the dwarves of Ironforge and the gnomes of Gnomeregan.   Quaint cottages and burrowed metal houses sprinkle throughout the land, with a handful of small conclaces and one large town for any sign of civilization, Kharanos, which houses a Pioneer's Chapter for client convenience. Kharanos is located on the crossroads leading between Ironforge, Gnomeregan, Coldridge Valley and Loch Modan.

Geography

Located in high elevation in between the craggy mountains of northwestern Khaz-Modan, the green pine trees and rocky grassland blanketed with snow. The region is home to many animals, both dangerous and friendly. Critters such as hares and squirrels frequent the forest, but as do bears and snow leopards that prowl the forest. Yetis are also seen, although rarely, in caverns and mountainous parts of the map.   Dwarves and gnomes are not the only sentient creatures that inhabit Dun Morough. The Frostmane Trolls once controlled Dun Morough until the dwarves drove them away, and have been bitter enemies ever since. As well as the trolls, there are the Troggs that live within the mountains, the gnomes mortal enemies. Gnomes lost their city of Gnomeregan to the Troggs and have had a innate hatred from them ever since.
