Fort Zena
A lone tower remains of Fort Zena. Notably, the same tower rumored, especially by Southbank (see Southbank Bridge), of Xiphares demise. The lone tower is repaired often, as many see it as a greater depiction of the message of Zena. As it stands there, the last bastion of the exclusivity that caused the Red Current, amongst a city that is inclusive of any and every individual.
Purpose / Function
Originally, Fort Zena consisted of a wall around the entire isle. This was effective to properly police those wanting to cross the river. The tower that still remains of Fort Zena was built after the original creation and was used by Mithridates to keep lookout across both the Northbank and Southbank districts. After Xiphares took over, it was from here he was rumored to have fallen into The Misty River below. This story is depicted on the Southbank Bridge.
Alterations
After the Red Current, majority of the fort was destroyed. However, the tower escaped with minimal damage. It was deftly repaired, to ensure structural integrity and made as a monument
History
Originally a great fort spanning the majority of the isle and walled the entire isle. After the Red Current, the fort was destroyed many times. Partially due to the no mans land it formed, but also due to the attempted conquest of this isle. Strangely the only thing that stood was the tower. Even today, the trees that cover the Garden District can be seen to uproot great stonework which made the exterior walls of the fort.
