The Onami state fell into two separate and uncooperative entities due to an internal conflict between isolationist and conquerer ideals.

Founding of the Nishinami Thalassocracy
FoundingNishinami was the western half of the Onami Thalassocracy. It seceded from the Onami state in order to pursue an isolationist agenda. However, it would maintain relations with the remaining Onami region to the east. However, relations ended with the formal establishment of the Azumanami Thalassocracy. Nishinami was conquered by the Kingdom of Helia in 1182AGC.

FoundingAzumanami is the eastern remnant of the once prosperous Onami Thalassocracy. It was established as a way for the new military leadership to pursue their own agenda without the isolationist influence of their western neighbors- the establishment of a new and more powerful Onami state.
