The Yessar Clans
The various populations of sirens along the east coast may be represented under this name.
Structure
When it comes to internal and external negotiations, clan heads will discuss first together and then with any outside (non-siren) parties who are involved.
Culture
The communities of the Yessar Clans are mostly compact villagers along or near the coast. They produce and sell various goods between each other and Kamalue. Overall, the clans maintain a tranquil and quaint existence. Interactions with outside parties are limited to trading and diplomacy, some of which they are happy to simply pass on through Kamalue.
The Yessar's relationship with Kamalue is an interesting one, seeing as there is such contrast in their cultural values. Kamalue's hardworking goals are far from aligning with the Yessar Clan's simple comforts, yet they have been able to maintain cooperation over the years since the former's arrival. Mind you, this interaction is limited to small trades and political representation.
Public Agenda
The Yessar Clans have little interest in unnecessary interaction with other parties in Avenia. Thus, they discourage tourism and the use of their waters for seafaring. Certain Kamaluan vessels are allowed, but if marine produce is required they are more than happy to provide it themselves. So long as they maintain their peace and settled way of life, they have little else of interest.
History
The sirens of the east coast seem to have ancient roots in their place of residence. They are most likely one of the most longstanding civilisations in Avenia. Despite this long residence, little has changed amongst the clans since their origin, and the population still remains limited. The cause of this may be attributed to their generally laidback attitude and isolated nature. There was limited interest in exploration and pursuit of an advanced lifestyle, as the population was thoroughly comfortable in their situation.
