Physical Description

Body Features

Tui has long, black hair tied back in a number of different ways — typically a ponytail — but he's been know to do buns, topknots, and the like. His eyes are dark and sharp, always darting around to see what's going on around him, except in a fight, when he focuses purely on his opponent.

Identifying Characteristics

Tui has a few small burn scars on his hands, arms, torso, and face — nothing serious, but definitely the marks of a firebender who has more confidence than skill.

Apparel & Accessories

He wears an amalgamation of different clothing, with a hachimaki on his head, and thick, practical, earth-kingdom-style pants — perfect for gallivanting about the Earth Kingdom. Tui also sports an undershirt, as well as a tattered silk scarf stolen from a merchant, and a nice coat which has seen better days, taken from some poor schmuck; Tui's got a habit of taking articles of clothing he likes from his victims.

Personal history

Tui grew up in a coastal town on the outskirts of the Earth kingdom. At a very young age, he discovered that he had the ability to firebend, and just as quickly resolved to hide it from others for fear of ridicule or worse. In retrospect, Tui often feels that these fears were likely unfounded, but when you're a pubescent kid you think all sorts of things.

When he got older, Tui left his hometown to sail the seas. His behavior is reckless and thoughtless, and he has caused himself and those close to him a great deal of pain with his actions. Nowadays, Tui tends to keep to himself to keep the pain away from those he loves.

Education

As a result of hiding his identity,Tui has no formal bending education; everything Tui knows about fire he learned himself.

Employment

Taking a reprieve from his life of piracy, Tui is currently follow his ambitions in Ba Sing Se, seeking fame and fortune.

Strength

His Strength is courageousness, willing to leap into a fight or argument to defend himself, another, or his beliefs, fearing not the consequences.

Flaw

His Flaw, by the same token, is recklessness. He doesn't think about the potential setbacks or injury to come from his actions, and this can often extend to other people getting hurt.

Desire

Tui yearns for glory. As a foolish youth he became a pirate to live as some figure of legend or charming swashbuckler. As a slightly less foolish slightly-less-youth, he now seeks to be a folk hero or the like. Any fame will do, quite honestly.

Fear

Tui fears commitment. He left his hometown to sail the seas, his behavior is reckless and thoughtless, and he has cause himself and those close to him pain with his actions. His solution is to not be too close to anyone.
