Human

The primary and dominant inhabitants of the world of Avatar, humans have proliferated across the globe, filling every niche and environment imaginable.
Although the only playable race in Avatar, humans are by no means the only sentient or sapient creatures. Countless spirits have canonically exhibited the ability to reason and communicate with humanity (e.g. @Wan Shi Tong), but they naturally take a back seat to the story which is human-centric.
What sets Avatar humans apart from regular, real-world humans, is that some of them have the innate ability to bend the elements.
