The Seven Tomes

Summary

While the Chaos Era raged on, the Gods came together to create the Seven Tomes. These Tomes were filled with the information of the gods: How Avandra was formed, how mankind was created, how the plants and animals behave and survive, and even the history of the Universe that the Gods knew. They wrote the information down, believing that they would never have to share it with mankind. However, when the Settlement occurred, mankind demanded to know the secrets and history of the Universe, stating that they wanted to be able to see if another Chaos was coming. Mankind agreed that they would split the Tomes equally among the three kingdoms, so that no kingdom would become too powerful.   Of these Tomes, four would go to the Conclave Empire, two would go to Ebron, and one would go to Xolta. Each Tome was to contain information about the Gods that were prevalent in those kingdoms, so that they could be worshiped properly, but not have too power. However, before the Settlement could be agreed on, the Seventh Tome, the one that was to go to Xolta, was stolen by a follower of one of the betrayer gods.   The person and the god who stole this Tome disappeared, and with it the Tome itself. Now, it is said that this missing Tome is out in the world, ready to be deciphered. It is said that this Tome is extremely powerful and contains the last of the missing secrets to unleashing ultimate power.

Historical Basis

While it is true that the Tomes were created during the time of the Chaos Era, the actual nature of what the Tomes say is still a mystery. Not one nation has been able to decipher the Tomes. The Seventh Tome was stolen as well during the Settlement, still yet to be found.

Spread

While this myth isn't completely common knowledge, many people, especially those who had any time of formal education, would have heard of the stories of the Tomes. Any person who had religious training would also know of the Tomes, as it is a part of the Gods' domain.

Variations & Mutation

Most of the variations on this myth revolves around what is actually written in the Seventh Tome. Many people believe that it holds all the answers to everything, while some assume that the Seventh Tome is missing because it contained jokes or things that the Gods didn't want to be known by man.
