Verdant

The trade gateway between Aurora and the rest of the world.
Verdant is a hub of commerce and hive of mercantile activity. Its port is ringed by a wall of docks, guarded by the Verdant Beacon, a giant copper statue holding a torch aloft.

Ships and their crews heading through customs require papers and to pay a tithe of all money and goods that enter the city. The Emerald Trading Company collects these tolls as payment for keeping the harbourmasters and docks in good repair.
Merchants from Aurora, the Sword Coast and beyond flock to Verdant as the most efficent way to to trade their wares. Goods will then often be taken by smaller merchant vessels and sold amongst the Auroran isles.
