Aurora Landing Site
When the Aurora arrived in Nèamhan, it "parked" in a stable orbit around the fourth planet. There it spent several months awakening the hundreds of thousands of colonists in stasis and deployed many probes to the surface to identify suitable landing sites.
It then deployed landing craft loaded with supplies, machinery and habitation to assist with settlement to designated landing zones where colonies were established.
The ship remained in orbit for a decade as settlements grew, acting as a retreat if an emergency ever occurred which required colonists to abandon their settlements.
In 0011 AFP, the Aurora was de-orbited to its final resting place on a large island in the Southern Galician Ocean where it remains to this day, standing as a reminder of humanity's origins.
The landing site is protected by treaties signed by all nations, stating that none shall interfere with or desecrate the ship.
