Many people were afraid of the new powers that entered their world. And some of them even rose their arms to protect their proud principles from these unknown abominations.

After the elves took over the Mowic-Forest and hunted down the Gwyll (as the Urramian now call themselves) to near extinction many of both the peasantry and nobility were shocked and enraged. They demanded that actions are immediately taken to kill all of them. They also wanted to hunt down every magic-user as they were already afraid of them before this conquest happened and thought that they might have something to do with it.
After the Meronian Empire refused these demands, the angered lords started a rebellion to overthrow their liege and take matters into their own hands. The stressed king of the Meronian Empire used his recently created army of mages and southlandish mercenaries to counter the attacks of his enemy. The rebels had no chance against the powerful mages and the ruthless sellswords, and the main war was soon over. After that, there were only a few rebellious dukes left that hid in their castles. This protracted the conflict, as the king had to besiege the castles to get to them. Every captured rebel was instantly executed.
