Gleamsword

Fixated along the northern mountains of the Leath Valley, Gleamsword is one of the many Half-Ling towns in the Leath Valley. It has a small Imperium presence due to a nearby stronghold that was constructed after the Federation Invasion.

Demographics

A Half-Ling village with a minor presence of Imperium soldiers allowing for some humans and elves.

Government

Though technically under the influence of the Domire Imperium, the towns and cities of the Leath Valley are managed by elected councils and elected mayors. Gleamsword is run by a small elected council. But due to the natural peaceful nature of Half-Lings the rule of law is rather relaxed with only the occasional troublemaker.

Defences

Some Imperium watchtowers and patrols stick near the town, as well as the stronghold jus a few miles away.  The defenses were erected after the Federation invasion, as this town was one of the hardest hit by the slavers, even being under federation control for a period of time.

Industry & Trade

The town, like all others in the Leath Valley, relies on its agricultural trade. A large abundance of wheat, corn, potato's, apples, pumpkins, sheep and cattle products all contribute to the success of the town.

History

One of the Oldest towns in the Leath Valley, Gleamsword is named after the golden fields of the area (Gleam; shine brightly, especially with reflected light. Sword; Sward; an expanse of short grass) with some of the most active agriculture. The town was hit heavily by the Federation invasion, having been under occupation for a month before being liberated (or reoccupied depending on who you ask) by the Domire Imperium. When the Imperium joined the war many of the Half-lings who survived joined into small guerilla cells to help in the fight. They were the first Military form in Half-ling history, but the small stature and stealthy capabilities of the Half-lings proved invaluable to the Imperium, with the Luna Arda incorporating some of them into their ranks.

Natural Resources

The rich Golden fields for which the town is named for produces some of the most high quality wheat, vegetables, corn, etc.
