Exodesia
There are over a thousand islands in the whole of Exodesia. Over one hundred of these are inhabited, although the majority of the population is concentrated on the largest island, Platan Island.
Picture the curved body of a shrimp facing upwards, his head to the right. Exodesia is the entire body of the shrimp and his surroundings. His head is in the southeast, and is comprised of a Ring of active, sparsely populated active volcanic islands. The back of the shrimp is the long, largest and most populated island of Exodesia, Platan Island, the home of the king and the center of trade, law, and military. As you follow the body of the shrimp down the tail to the west and north, the islands grow smaller and farther apart. The westernmost island of significance is Probidencia, at the very tip of the tail.
To the north of the body of the shrimp are the legs, long strings of tiny islands extending northward. These islands are sparsely inhabited, serving mostly as temporary hideaways for pirate ships, and valuable volcanic minerals have recently been discovered on the legs.
Just north of the shrimp's legs are a trio of medium-sized islands known as the Three Friends. The Three Friends are the northernmost inhabited islands in Exodesia. These were independent from the rest of the nation for longer than the other regions, and still maintain distinctive traditions and cultural practices.
The nearest landmass is to the southeast, a large island that is a territory of a great country of the Eastern Continent.
Geography
Exodesia is the name of the archipelago, or collection of islands, that comprise a loosely unified kingdom. There are hundreds of islands in the kingdom, many uninhabited. The climate is mild, with warm, dry summers, and mild, wet winters. The islands are very green and the seas very blue.
Exodesia is located in the center of a vast sea. It is bounded by great continents to the north, east, and south, but each is far enough away, across treacherous waters, that contact with the continents is infrequent. It is nearest to the eastern continent and farthest from the northern.
To the west of Exodesia is an unending great ocean.

Fauna & Flora
Because Exodesia is an archipelago of hundreds of islands, each island may have unique evolutionary characteristics. Some types of creatures that would be likely to exist on islands include:
* very large versions of certain creatures, such as giant tortoises
* small versions of creatures, such as pygmy elephants
* large, flightless birds
* very large insects, spiders, and crustaceans
* absence of natural predators in some cases, like no rodents
* abundant marine mammals: cetaceans, seals
* lots of seabirds
Natural Resources
* pastoral (sheep and cattle?) farming on the biggest islands
* forestry on all but the very rocky volcanic islands; increasing deforestation in recent years
* wine and grapes obviously
* exotic fruits
* beekeeping
* fishing
* pigs and chickens?
* taro root
* tree nuts
