Turgla's jungle ring

It is a place where those who get lost find themselves or die, those who succeed might even get rewarded. But go there with the desire for its reward, and your only reward will be your life if you get extremely lucky. Who knows, maybe some of my friends are still haunting down there.

Description

Around the Mount Turgla is a deadly ring maze made by various bushes, thick trees, knotted roots, and mists of various densities. It is impossible to see inside the maze through the trees, so those who wander inside, are alone on their travels.   One can enter this ring from practically anywhere, and still be guided by the Eyes either back out, through, or towards certain death.
On the note is, that every single Raider who entered the maze with greed and desire to get wealthy by salvaging the other dead Raiders ended up joining them and making their equipment part of the jungle ring treasures.   The overall flora of the jungle ring combined with its mists makes up a perfect area to fall victim to all sorts of accidents. Be it falling down an undermined ground, falling down after slipping over the various roots, just to find oneself tangled by the same roots shortly after.
Or by meeting the jungle maze guardians, The Eyes of Mount Turgla.

Location

Turgla's jungle ring, as the name implies, is localized right around the lower mountainsides of Mount Turgla. The edge of the jungle maze start few meters away from where the Turgla pulse ends. This makes Mount Turgla the center of the maze.   The distance from the edge of the jungle maze to the edge along its center is estimated to be 1km. Which provides enough jungle area to get lost in. Especially considering the Eyes.
You will wish that you would notice them sooner than they notice you, but that is never the case.

Inhabitants

Turgla's jungle ring is inhabited only by the mysterious Eyes. These eyes serving both as a guide through the jungle maze, as well as judges of the unworthy. Those who get lost in there and manage to prove themselves will be guided out of the jungle, or even to some lost riches left there by other dead Raiders.

Fauna

Throughout the whole jungle ring, only one kind of tree has been seen. The WiljuLea tree is making up the entirety of the jungle maze with its various roots while its branches with dense leaves block all light from outside. Just because the light is blocked does not mean the temperature of the jungle is not high.
During the hot part of the year, the jungle maze is a death trap purely thanks to the accumulated heat. This heat causes the water stored in WiljuLea roots to vaporize, forming dense fog.
The fog created this way can not leave the maze because the leaves block the way. This causes the mist the get stuck and accumulated, forming another hazard in the already dangerous jungle.
Unless you want to get to the inner edge of the jungle ring and wait for the Turgla pulse to pass so you can go for Crystine vines fruit, there is literally no reason to go in there. Many lost their lives there just because they thought the Eyes will part with their treasures.

Exploitability, resources, and other reasons for visit

The jungle ring is considered to be one of the areas not worth visiting, as the chances for death are almost guaranteed.   The Turgla's jungle ring is occasionally visited by Corruption, thus meeting the condition for Crystals to grow. However Eyes consider crystals to be their treasure too, and coming in the jungle maze with intention to take the crystals out is met with quick demise.
The presence of crystal clusters has been confirmed by various survivors, who always considered the crystals to be a sort of test. That might be true, as all survivors report not taking the crystals so they would not anger their Eye guides.   Apart from crystals, the Turgla's jungle ring is a graveyard to many greedy or incompetent Raiders. As such, their equipment is still left around.
No one knows how, but when the survivor is rewarded by the equipment of some dead Raider, the equipment is always in the same condition as it was when the Raider died with it.   Apart from Eyes, there are no other monsters or living beings. So there is nothing to hunt. This is credited to the close presence of Mount Turgla and its pulse, which is able to scare many people even up in the skies in the safety of their homes.
Due to the dense jungle flora and deep dense mists, there is also not much in there in terms of gathering. And any berries or mushrooms that grow there are straight-up lethal for humans to such a degree, that survivors report seeing dead bodies next to mushroom clusters while their remnants were covered in the same type of mushroom.
