Serpent Hills
These rolling hills spread out across the horizon, with dry scrub hugging the earth and lone, crooked trees standing sentry. The air is warm and the dirt is sun-baked. Scaled serpents slither through the grass, making their burrows beneath the feet of passing travellers, whose clumsy steps often find them at the receiving end of a sometimes fatal bite.
Geography
A small river wraps around and through these hills, known as the Serpent's Tail Stream. The arid hills are gently sloping, but some dip down into shallow canyons which provide shade and respite from the beating sun.
Fauna & Flora
The hills are infamous for the species of dangerous snakes and cobras that reside there. Many unfortunate travellers find themselves being struck by serpents whose tails have been accidentally trod upon. Nomadic bands of lizardfolk or naga occasionally make home here.
Natural Resources
Dry scrub dominates the landscape. Boring down into the earth may provide mineral resources, but is unattractive to miners due to the harsh weather.
