Fanacost

Fanacost is buried into the side of a canyon in the Serpent Hills, quiet and unassuming, protected by shoddy walls assembled by desperate adventurers trying to claim the treasures rumoured to lie within. Whispers of gold beyond belief, splendours of the gods and weapons to rival the most powerful liches have brought hundreds to its doors in search of wealth. Power-hungry orcs, scholarly mages, greedy goblins hordes and chattering kenku. Little do they know of the real treasure, which lies behind a false and ever-changing dungeon meant to test those that seek its riches. Little do they know of the challenges that lie ahead. Little do they know that only the worthy may shop at... the Fantasy Costco.

Architecture

The exterior is all reddish earth typical of the Serpent Hills. Within, however, the rooms and passageways are hewn from grey stone. Everything has been hewn from the rock by hand and thus has a rather natural appearance. Some ceilings are held up only by wooden scaffolding and other areas have caved in entirely. The Fantasy Costco, however, is sleek, clean and marble-floored.

History

The Fantasy Costco was established by the Jeanie the Djinni who, incapable of granting wishes, wanted to grant people wishes in his own special way – by providing quality items at low, low prices. He spread rumours of a fantastical horde of wealth and treasure awaiting within to lure adventurers, but only wanted to serve those who were truly worthy of such magnificent bargains. He glamoured an empty dungeon into a sort of trial which, if passed, would allow entrance to the Fantasy Costco. Over the centuries, numerous adventurers have tried their hand at uncovering the fortune – from orcs to scholars to goblins – but to no avail.   Quinn, unsuccessful in his plight to find the treasure with his ragtag band of kenku, was eventually assisted by the party. They were all able to gain entrance to the Fantasy Costco and return there regularly to shop.
