Lastwatch Family
The Lastwatches are a wealthy and influential family closely allied with the Kalzua of their area, allowing them great influence in the gold and precious gemstone trade of Kameshk. Primarily composed of Northeastern Suktu, they can be capricious and are prone to seemingly-random pursuits that make little sense to outside observers.
Assets
The Lastwatches are exorbitantly wealthy because, thanks to their ties to the local Kalzua, they have access to a number of mines where gold and gemstones are mined.
History
Soon after the newest Kalzua mines of the area began to turn up minerals and stones of value around fifty years ago, the Lastwatch Family stepped in to ally themselves with the miners in order to sell the assets. The union was perfect: the Kalzua mostly just cared about bringing the gold and stones to the surface, while the Suktu family was more interested in finding buyers for the resources after they'd already been mined. Together, the two groups quickly created a prosperous alliance, one that's lasted to this very day.
