Torm, the Loyal Fury

The Loyal Fury Torm

Pronounced (TORM)
Torm is the steadfast god of honor and victory in war. When soldiers march to battle, his voice is the thunder of their footsteps and the crash of spear on shield. Soldiers, mercenaries, and athletes all pray for Torm's favor in securing victory. Common folk pray to Iroas for courage and fortitude in times of struggle, for his is the battle nobly fought and won.   Bold and confident with a soldier’s demeanor, Torm is the pinnacle of martial pride and bearing. He is stoic almost to a fault, but also exhibits a wry sense of humor. Those who honorably shed blood in Torm's name can count on his support. Cowards and oath breakers are to be despised, and traitors don’t deserve mercy in battle.   Torm known as the True Deity, was the god whose portfolio consists of duty, loyalty, righteousness, and, after the Divide, law.

Divine Relationships

He once loved a dead elven deity Murdane, who was killed when Lathander challenged Ferenc. This enraged Torm to a point where any mention of Lathander or his faithful sends him into a rage.

Worshipping Torm

Torm is interested not in pretty words, but in great deeds. The faithful of Iroas show their piety by comporting themselves well in contests of athleticism or skill. Swearing an oath to win a battle in Torm's name and failing to do so is a great shame upon a warrior, thus such a promise is never uttered lightly.

Mecuria

Gentle hills and lush green valley's comprise this domain, which is also dotted with smaller settlements of archons and other good aligned beings. Bahamut's jeweled palace moved about the first four domains of Celestia, before finding its home here.

Eyes of Justice

This order is considered heretical by many Tormites. The order worshipoed a form of Torm they referred to as the “Threefold God”, which they believed to be a combination of Torm and the dead gods Tyr and Helm. Members of this sect had no pity or fear and often used tactics some would consider questionable. The order attracted outcasts from other orders as well as people seeking redemption for evil acts.

Girded Healers

Members of this order worshiped both Torm and the dead god Illmater. The primary purpose of this order was to heal those touched by war or the Spellplague.
