No doubt you thumbed the pages within this catalogue when you first got your hands on it! Don't worry, so did we! But because of this, you have no doubt seen the wide selection of quality goods on display within this catalogue's pages. Perhaps you where drawn to its lavish artistic illustration or the attention grabbing descriptions. Our staff of scribes and artists have spent countless hours preparing these pages for the
printing press. A second team of apprentice mages spends their time sending out the copies produced via magical mailboxes and systems which we proudly keep secret to protect each catalogue and package ordered. We regret that we cannot freely give out catalogues to the citizens of the world, but they have proven timely to perfect and such distribution has proven to be too costly, but be assured shoppers that each Timbers Outlet is stocked with adequate copies to ensure their is always a catalogue to browse.
How does the Timbers' Catalogue work?
For those of you who are new to our families shops, bazars, and traveling wagons, or perhaps you are just reading this at a friends place, let us explain how our system operates. Our family and its affiliates purchase goods and produce from local wholesalers, craftsperson, travelling peddlers, and even adventurers. Our list of reputable merchants and traders is long and verified constantly so that we never knowingly purchase stolen or items from the black markets of the world; our divination magics ensure this quality around the globe. The acquired merchandise is then delivered to one of our families warehouses. Each is a closely guarded family secret, and is protected from all known forms of revealing magics.
Our family has Timbers Outlets across the globe and in nearly every major city. Currently we have seven locations in
Carcino alone! New outlets open all the time, so if you aren't near a location now, you will soon be!
When your order is taken or mailed to one of our outlets we place in a batch with other orders from that outlet. Every morning, afternoon, and night, orders are teleported to the
central warehouse, where items are delivered, packed, and redistributed. Our trusted staff sorts and assembles an outlet's orders, then using the same teleportation magic, the orders are shipped to their respective outlets. Especially large items and orders are magically reduced in size, then enlarged at their destination.
Order typically get processed in two-three business days, and outlet staff can update a customer on their shipment status. Shipping times have been known to get longer during holidays so plan ahead! Requests are processed in the order they are received. The exception to this rule is disaster relief. If a region is ravaged by fire, floods, or war for example, their orders for food, blankets, clothing, water, etc., are always filled out first. Again, outlet staff can assist you in knowing such information if it is affecting delivery times.
Ordering Instructions
Order forms are available from all Timbers Outlets. The staff is trained to assist shoppers and advise them. For all orders a 25% minimum deposit of the total is requested to be paid when the order is placed. Certain items however may require full payment before delivery, when ordering refer to individual item descriptions to find out! All deposits are refunded if the item in question happens to be out of stock.
If you don't see an item you want, ask! Frequently we have stock that has yet to make its way to the catalogue. Updated issues are distributed bi-monthly so be sure to check in with staff at your local outlet.
When your requested merchandise arrives, you may examine any and all qualities of the item as long as testing doesn't render the item worthless. If the quality of the item does not meet with your level of desired satisfaction, you may reject your shipment and reclaim your deposit or place it towards a new shipment. Once an item leaves the premise of an outlet we can no longer accept any form of return or exchanges.
Unless prior arrangements are requested and made, orders will stay at an outlet for 10 days. After that time merchandise will be returned to the
central warehouse and the deposit is forfeited.
Rush Deliveries
If you require same-day delivery on your requested merchandise, we can usually accommodate your needs. A minimal surcharge of 15% will be added to your order.
Substitutions
We occasionally substitute merchandise illustrated in the the catalogue. If the exact item is unavailable a similar item may be shipped. You always have the option to review and refuse any deliveries and your deposit will be returned.
Color Selections
When purchasing clothing or fabrics, outlet staff will have a list of colors available in addition to those listed in the catalog entries. If these colors do not suit your needs, consider using our dyeing service. For an additional 10% fee, we have your garment or fabric dyed to order from our extensive collection of common and exotic dyes that we keep on stock. A swatch booklet is available at all outlets to assist you in your selection. Please allow 3-4 extra days for these special orders to be delivered.
Work For Hire
When visiting Timbers' Outlets, please check the notice board for job postings. We are frequently in need of novice mages for mundane spellcasting, hired muscle to serve as caravan escorts, or sometimes groups of intrepid adventurers to hunt down lost shipments or locate an obscure item. The Timbers family always pays handsomely, commensurate with the danger and difficulty of a task.
