Capital Exchange
The Capital Exchange in Carcino was founded in 1,700 of the Second Era by the merchant Aurelius Varius to act as a center of commerce for the City of Carcino. The site was provided by the City of Carcino and House Hierophant, who still jointly own the freehold. It is trapezoidal in shape is joined to the center of the city by the road Via Aurevarius, named after Aurelius. It lies in the walled Borgo district.
It has thrice been destroyed and rebuilt. The present building being designed by Aurelius' descendant, Servius Varius in the year 2,884 SE.
Since its foundation, the site has been one of the locations where certain proclamations are read out by a crier. Such proclamations were wide and varied, as nearly anything could influence the market.
