Akadēmos Campus

The term “campus” is the Latin word for “field,” and was first applied to the grounds of what would become Capital University founded in -1766 BCE. The oldest campus in the world, the Akadēmos district was home to some of the most prestigious colleges and universities and architecturally designed buildings. It was also home to some of the oldest libraries still standing in the modern world.   The Carcinian education system was based on older systems used in ancient history. Academy / Academic Origins

The commonly used words Academy and Academic can trace their routes back to the Akadēmos district. In fact, the word Academic was first used by the lower class to describe the workers of the district, years before it was used to refer to the students.

Blue Bloods Origin

The first use of the term 'blue blood' to refer to someone born into education, status, and wealth (a noble) was -316 BCE. The name is believed to come from the bright blue roofs of the white marble homes within the wealthy Monacelli neighborhood. While the term was first used only on local born nobles, the term quickly grew to refer to anyone of noble birth.
