Vib'Ren, The God Tongue

There is some debate as to whether Vib'Ren may even be classified as a language, as it neither utilizes any speaking mechanism possessed to produce the sounds required and is therefore entirely impractical to most who live on the face of Asylum. That being said, however, Vib'Ren is the original language, originated in the existences of The Gods of Sanctuary, however far back that may be.

Vib'Ren has only ever been recorded to exist in two ways, one of which being the blasphemous method utilized by the Mechgeneer MasterMinds of Eimtin through the tool known as Vibris.   The intial and only recognized form of recording the existence of the Vib'Ren language is through the event of Reception. Reception occurs when ArchPriests of Adjure are given sacred commands on the decennial, Day of God. These holy commands are received in their physical form by the ArchPriests who, lying prone upon the ground before a holy altar, are shaken to the core with the vibrations of the voices of the gods.

For the language itself, no man has been recorded as speaking it in response to the gods, but it is known to all that at its foundation, Vib'Ren is a language of commands only. There is no known way to relay a response to the gods, though many ArchPriests have tried. Those who have tried and have survived long enough to give an account of their attempt have said that Vib'Ren is a language of the mind as much as it is of sensation. To receive words from the gods, one must surely feel, but one must also know.

Vibrations are, at their basest form, simply the sensations of sound, thus sensed by some form of life capable of regonizing and understanding them. While no man is capable yet of actively communicating through the use of Vib'Ren, there are some ways in which a man or woman may, under a certain set of extreme circumstances, actually speak the God Tongue, though it is yet to be discovered by any in Sanctuary.

Writing System

Although Vibin has no alphabet, there are several 'foundational thoughts' which make up the basis for the language. These foundational thoughts include, but are by no means limited to: acceptance, vigour, favor and fury. These four thoughts must be part of what is a major role which all of the foundational thoughts play in communicating with the language known as Vib'Ren.

Phonology

Vibrations may be sensed in the being of a man, when his body is shaken in the act of receiving holy commands from the gods. Though there are no actual words in the language of Vib'Ren, thoughts themselves are used in expressing meaning. In this way, the concepts which one may communicate by the God Tongue are endless, only limited by the deftness and organizational skills of the users mind, which must then be infinite if gods are the ultimate beings in existence.
