Severance Prophecies

Following The Great Fault of the Adjurian Church of (TBD DATE) in the central continent of Abunna (Uh-boon-nuh) a large group of peoples known as Libritivas who were fed up with the iron-fist control of the clergy at the time joined together and made their way to the western shores in preparation for a mass exodus to other lands. The following events could forever be written with two sides, each telling their own story. Most modern accounts in Abunna lean toward supporting the information provided by the Adjurian Church, but just as many modern records in other continents support the Libritivas account. In this way, many divisions took place between the two groups: the staunch and proud church against the resolute and proud Libritis. Of those divisions and tellings, one major event rose above the others in recognition of crossing the lines against one another: The Severance Prophecies.

A decade after the initial reformation and exodus, both sides sent emmisaries to the major cities, declaring a prophecy of the other's downfall. The Mechganeer's of the Western shores of Ubia sent their prophet procession to the church, and vise-versa, the Adjurian Clergy of Abunna sent their prophecy by word of emissary to Eimtin, the capital of Ubia, the city at the base of the Hesh Mountain range, where Vibris, The Seat of Heaven stood.

A deep contrast of both method of revelation and process of proclemation marks the records of these prophecies, however the nature of both are so independently similar that most historians agree the credibility of the prophecy contents cannot entirely be ignored. Passions against one another were at such a tipping point, that agreement between each group could not have been reached so as to manufacture the prophecies and their delivery at the exact time and date of each other across the land and sea. Most peoples of each group accept the prophecies as true, though only of the facts revealed to their own peoples. Very few accept the message of the opposing faction and even after (A LONG TIME) disdain and hatred toward one another is as fresh as the day the Severance Prophecy left the lips of those that bore them.

Summary

Against the Adjurian Church and all Clergy and peoples loyal to them, the prophecy received by the meka-shamans of Eimtin spells out the complete and utter destruction of their hearth and home by some nefarious outside force. Here is the prophecy in full:

When the moons are finished staring down at your failures,
When the lands are sickened with your betrayals.
They will come and finish your downfall.
They will devour you within themselves. Kings, lies and all.

Quite independantly from the Mechganeer MasterMinds of Eimtin, the Adjurian Templa of Abunna received and delivered this prophecy from Adjure himself, proclaiming it in the streets beneath the Hesh Mountains of Eimtin:

None shall resist, and none shall escape.
The time for sins to find their end.
The moons are full of shame and wrath.
They will come and take your minds and lands.

Spread

Both of the two Severance Prophecies of the Ubia and Abunna and their contents were spread far and wide by sailing merchents and historians so that there was not an ear alive at that time that had not heard it. Many believed and many ignored, but all have heard.
