Efristan
Efristan is a bird-shaped island situated in the northern part of the Marblehaven Divide, a location steeped in both history and arcane power. Once a war-torn battleground during the Pandora War, Efristan has since transformed into a hub of magical scholarship and a symbol of unity between rival factions. Its landscape is a mixture of rugged cliffs, verdant hills, and ancient structures, with the northern edge of the island still bearing the remnants of old battlements from the war. The island is now home to the Arcane Infinite, a prestigious group of archwizards who study and master the different schools of magic, as well as the shared settlement of Zenothar, where both the Githyanki and Githzerai coexist in an uneasy but functional truce.

The Arcane Infinite
At the heart of Efristan lies the Arcane Infinite, a newly refurbished hold and university where the top archwizards from across Astrium come to hone their craft. The university stands as an imposing structure of gleaming marble and enchanted glass, with a tower for each of the major schools of magic, such as Abjuration, Evocation, and Transmutation. Each tower contains exclusive archives and magical labs for the most dedicated scholars. Students and visitors alike can witness incredible displays of magical prowess as wizards push the limits of their disciplines. The Hall of the Infinite serves as the main chamber for the council of archwizards, where major decisions regarding the future of magic are made.
The Zenith Battlements
Stretching along the northern edge of Efristan are the Zenith Battlements, the remaining fortifications from the Pandora War. These ancient, crumbling walls once served as the island’s primary defense against invaders and still resonate with latent magical energies. Many of the battlements have been partially reclaimed by nature, with vines creeping along the stone and moss covering the fallen towers. However, several sections are preserved as historical sites, where visitors can learn about the war and the arcane defenses once used. Some of these areas are said to contain dangerous wards and spells left behind from the battles, attracting both curious scholars and daring adventurers hoping to uncover long-lost magical secrets.
Zenothar
Tucked into the hills of Efristan is Zenothar, a shared settlement where the Githyanki and Githzerai have forged an unlikely cohabitation. While their cultures remain distinct and tensions occasionally flare, Zenothar stands as a testament to cooperation between these two ancient peoples. The city is divided into two districts: the Astral Quarter (home to the Githyanki, with soaring towers and astral-infused architecture) and the Serene Hallows (a peaceful, minimalist area for the Githzerai). Both factions benefit from Efristan’s magical atmosphere, with Zenothar acting as a place of philosophical debate, psionic study, and martial training.
