Nevarth Journals

The journals of Nevarth document his travels and discoveries. Elves believe he’s still alive because these journals have never been found and therefore must be with him. Nevarth was tedious about his notes and drawings. He documented everything! He has drawings of every species that he comes across and maps of areas he’s travelled. All the knowledge of the world is held within these journals. Librarians envy the knowledge Nevarth has collected and will do almost anything to get their hands on it. They are the guardians of knowledge and knowing that there is something out there that they do not know is foreign and wrong to them. Little do they know that one of these journals is hidden in one of their libraries. He is a sneaky elf. Hiding something so valuable in plain sight. There are 3 of these journals. They are thick books wrapped in some sort of leather. They look very used. The leather is cracked, pages are full of stains and marks. Notes in margins that he forgot to add initially. When you open a journal, it just looks like the ramblings of a mad man. It doesn’t make sense. Maybe it’s written in some sort of code? Why would he do that? He knows that his journals hold secrets and knowledge that others covet. He cannot allow it to fall into the wrong hands. There are magical secrets he’s discovered that no one should ever know. Everything is written in a code only he (or someone very close to him) can read. Nevarth does not trust many people. In fact, he doesn’t trust anyone except Trew and Marr. His only friends who have been honest with him. When he is finished with a journal instead of keeping it on him, he hides it somewhere only him can find. It’s not safe to keep them on his person.
