History

when elves evacuated the fey wild into the material plane, there were those that thought themselves superior to the other races of Astoris, these individuals were the precursors to the sky elves. many of these people thought they needed to acheive perfection in order to restore their home of the fey wild to its former glory. After centuries of escalation looking for the purest ways to live, they found it to be the best course to isolate themselves from anything that might taint their perfection.

Sky elves see themselves above all others and as such would condemn any sky elf which would befriend another race.
