The instant torch is at its core a regular torch with a shard of Infurnite set to light the torch in an instant with a tap against any hard object.

Manufacturing process

the wooden shaft is indented with the whittling knife or chisel, then the shard is placed in the indent and wrapped in the oil soaked cloth. It should be noted that the Shard of Infurnite should be cooled and in its inert state when handled this way.
