Frasnir

Off the coast of Xorik , the gnomes claim the large island of Frasnir as their home. Most gnomes live in their technological wondrous city of Zargo while the reclusive forest gnomes prefer Frasnir’s woods. Over the millenia, gnomes have shifted from lovers of nature to lovers of magic and using it as a tool to make everyday life easier. Their latest magical breakthrough in elemental binding has led to the creation of rail lines, incredibly fast ships, and flying carriages. Recently, Frasnir has seen dire times recently as domestic terrorism, protests, and pirates have plagued the capital. These problems culminated in an attempted political coup by the former vice minister that killed the prime minister. Fortunately the traitorous vice minister was stopped, and the gnomes are slowly picking themselves back together. With the emergency election of Prime Minister Turen, there is hope once again for the island.

Government

Fransir is ruled by democratically elected Counselors and a Prime Minister that govern from the capital city, Zargo. Currently, Bradle Turen is the current Prime Minister after the last was killed.

Notable Factions:

• Preservers: For several centuries, the city gnomes have turned away from their fey roots by embracing arcane magic and creating wondrous magitech. Or at least that's what some forest gnomes think, and those that agreed formed the Preservers. Originally a movement created to remind gnomes of their fey roots and their connection to nature, the Preservers were corrupted by the Cult of Reclamation. Former Vice MinisterVook Garrick had cultists infiltrate the Preservers and turned the organization into a terrorist group. After the defeat of Vook Garrick, the Preservers are still distrusted. However, slowly, the old ways are returning and the fight to preserve the gnome way of life continues, albeit in a peaceful way.

Zargo:

The capital city of Frasnir, Zargo is built on the eastern side of the island and is a beautiful port city. The city gnomes have used magitech to create wondrous sights such as flying carriages, everglowing lamps, and are now constructing a rail system.

City Layout:

• North Side: The wealthy, residential area of the city and home of the Prime Minister Turen.
• The Heart: The center of the city and features government buildings, including the Council Chamber, and the city’s largest religious temples, including the Sunstone.
• South Side: The common residential area for most gnomes in the city.
• West Side: The merchant area of the city and location of Brackenwood's Emporium, the famed shop of Austere Brackenwood
• Docks: Port of the city and being repaired after the Capsized's attempted invasion
