Understeryia

Understeryia is a massive underground dungeon that is deep underground, even below the oceans of Asteryia. Understeryia is only accessible by The descending spires. Understeryia is in fact the worlds largest and first dungeon. Over time Understeryia has grown to cover almost the same amount of space as the landmasses of Asteryia combined. How ever since it is in fact a dungeon, a place where creatures or myths and legend live as well as beasts long thought extinct in Asteryisc, Understeryia has grown down until at its present state it is hundreds of miles deep when you count all the different levels made by the creatures that live there. Each level altered to fit their needed habitat. The first level of Understeryia has been scavenged for resources so much that it has been populated by several cities and villages. It has become a neutral ground for all races. Each of the three continents have a large city built around their The descending spires. in the center of the level is the last major city. It is the beating heart of the trade centered around the dungeon. It is run by a couclncil of some of the first adventures to descend into Understeryia. Dozens of villages and towns dot the first level as well.

Geography

As Understeryia is in fact a dungeon each level and sometimes each section of a level has different geographic features. How ever the 1st floor, or Understeryia, is nothing but rolling plains and forests for the entire floor with a few lakes and ponds and rivers dotting the landscape. The lower levels, or Understeryia Proper, has everything from underwater levels to volcanic mountain ranges and maze like tunnels with pockets full of forests or blizzards or just fog.

Fauna & Flora

In Understeryia most of the flora are the same as what Asteryia has. It has forests of various trees, flowers from around the world. The animals are also for the most part the same as what is found in Asteryia. But both the flora and fauna are slightly different from Asteryias flora and fauna. As they have spent untold time adapting to Understeryia they have changed to be larger or more deadly. Some even gaining magical attributes or growing into entirely new species. As it is a dungeon Understeryia is also home to creatures and plants not seen in Asteryia.

Natural Resources

The first level of Understeryia has been truly turned into another continent and thusly is able to produce the same resources as the continents of Asteryia. It is the levels under the first that truly hold worthwhile resources. Items such as bones, meat and skin of creatures. Minerals that the creatures make to make a section of the lower levels theirs.
