The Great Pilgrimage of Neranus

Neranus brought with him, those who wished to depart from an unsafe land ravaged by chaos and war, to the Everchanging Islands in the east. Him and his traveled from far in the west, chased by the hordes of Orcs and their ilk from across the scorching desert of Rama’munza to his islands east of the Hellyenic States. He built them a great bridge of stone torn from the ground and defended his people’s crossing. Once every last pilgrim was across the bridge he pushed his bridge, and in turn his islands, further out to sea until the bridge itself was afloat in the water, Neranus’ legs kicking wave upon wave of water at the Orcs as his islands disappeared into the horizon never to be seen again.

Variations & Mutation

Mushaya the Wanderer   The sands shrunk over time, giving way to grassy and fertile land to both the east and west. Many new creatures never seen before would visit the great city of Rama’munza, many of which would not understand or accept their ways. Many conquerors came and went, and through the ages Rama’munza would always fall under siege. Being caught as the crossroads between two places was taking its toll on Rama’munza and its people. Mushaya had returned from one of his journeys around the newfound lands around him, attempting to make friends with the locals to no avail. To avoid bloodshed Mushaya rose a new island in a faraway place for the Alquti and the people of Rama’munza. While forming the island a new threat emerged making the protection of Rama’munza nearly impossible.   Monsters of all kinds came from the west and through great holes in the mountains. The beasts began the slaughter of all kinds of people all over Asterra, and Rama’munza was no exception. Even with all his power he could not keep the monsters at bay. So instead he lead his people across the great desert, out and away from his city to the new lands he formed for them. He created a great bridge made of pillars rose from the ocean floor, and sailed the island like a ship further and further from Asterra. Ensuring the safety of his people for another eternity. Many say Mushaya still weeps for those who could not join them and will one day return for the A’mau of Rama’munza to once again lead them to a golden age.
