Kingdom of Dreazar

Structure

The Auldwyrm(Dragonborn) of the Dreazar follow a traditional feudal hierarchy, with some strange and key differences. Those who own animal farms and cattle are valued as much as lords in Dreazar, as the Auldwyrm survive primarily on meat and eggs. Because land is worth little, wealth and class is measured in livestock. Having a hundred heads of livestock and providing for the country makes you a Lord, having 500 and being a vassal of a Duke or Count while controlling a castle makes you a Baron. Having 2,000 heads of cattle and being elected to govern a city makes you a count. Having 10,000 cattle and having gained recognition from the King makes you a Duke. The King owns the GrandHerd, a large herd of livestock passed down through the generations. It is comprised of primarily Auroch and Axebeaks who's meat and eggs provide for the vast majority of the population's food sources.

Public Agenda

Acquire more land and trade deals. Conquer the nomadic Centuars.

History

The Dreazar Kingdom used to be a proud empire that controlled much of the Acoran Territories and more. Under the long reign of Drax Zanrekk I and his sons, the small kingdom would prosper into an empire that lasted a few hundred years. Back during the days of the empire the Auldwyrm had great swathes of land for their livestock to graze on. They would conquer land and allow their aurochs to run rampant across the land, usually destroying the grassland that was required to sustain them. The inhospitable black crag wastes to the northwest are a stain that would forever haunt Dreazar.   During the reign of Drax Zanrekk IV, hundreds of years after the original reign of Zanrekk I, the age of the green sea came through and destroyed what little grazing land Dreazar had left. Their hordes would go hungry, and the Auldwyrm faced mass starvation unlike anything they had seen before. The ancestors of Zanrekk I lost their lineage as all recorded members died to during the age of the green sea, pushing Dreasar back to a small city far outside the land they once called home. Their ancient empire and great cities now lost in the black crags that became inhospitable due to their negligence. In their greatest time of need, a new hero would arise and attempt to reform their struggling kingdom.   The Hero Drax, Zisax I, would attempt to control the populace's control over their livestock. He would put forth many new laws that mandated watchful eyes on any and all herds of livestock so that they would avoid overgrazing and destroying their own lands once more. Each rancher would be mindful of his livestock, and any and all ranchers found being lazy or distracted during their watches would have all their livestock revoked. Livestock would also become the most valuable trading goods in the market, to the point where most great transactions were made with auroch and axebeak. Any official minted was completely removed, for coin had become a distraction.   The lands Dreazar owned were already rather barren already, which made the reforms nearly useless by themselves. So the Hero Drax set out to conquer more lands for his people. Unfortnately, the entire valley they had been pushed to wasn't fertile to begin with, but it would be a start. After conquering the barren valley, the Auldwyrm could finally start to rebuild. While the land was few and far between, it was enough for the cattle to graze on for now. Dreazar spent the next couple centuries in relative peace due to Zisax's reforms and bravery.   It was finally during the reign of Drax Jyzandis II that Dreazar would set their eyes upon new land. The land of the Laelonic tribes was lush with fertile grassland as far as the eye could see. Jyzandis II would set out on the first militant campaign for the first time in several hundred years and conquer a great swathe of land from the Laelonic tribesman who swore their revenge upon all of Dreazar after their defeat. The land they gained proved invaluable to Dreazar, their population skyrocketed and the Dreazar once again became negligent in their home lands, believing they would hold onto the old Laelonic lands forever...   The Laelonic tribes would become united under King Talbot I, who immediately set out to reconquer the Laelonic territory taken by the Dreazar a century ago. The Drax at the time, Ztash the Fool, didn't even botehr to defend the land. Much of Dreazar thought the same of the Laelonic people. Simple barbarians that couldn't put up a fight a mere hundred years ago, what could they possibly hope to accomplish. Within a year, Ztash the Fool would be scrambling what was left of his men and begging Talbot for peace. Peace didn't come for two more years, and by the end of it the damage was done.   King Talbot took back all the fertile land that once belonged to long lost Laelonic tribes and vast pieces of land that had belonged to the Dreazar for centuries. When it was all done, many of the Dreazar knew what was coming. If they didn't push back here and now, they would never be able to sustain their livestock again. Their population had grown far too much over the last century and their lands had grown near inhospitable for livestock. Unfortunately for them, Ztash was far too scared to even try. He sued for peace, and Dreazar fell into their second dark age.     Now, under the rule of Drax Jasund III, Dreazar barely manages to stay afloat due to trade and hiring the Klif company to hunt great beasts to help their smaller towns on their borders. Many Dreazarsh know starvation far too well now, and livestock are invaluable to their survival. Drax Jasund III has considered conquering the Centaur tribes to the east to the dismay of his people. War has done nothing for Dreazar, so many of its people fear it. Many more emigrate en masse outside of the country hoping for a better life somewhere else. There are still many loyalists, however, who feel through more reforms Dreazar can once again be saved.
