Central Cordillera

The spine-ridge mountains of central Dol Teroth, this range is the tallest succession of peaks on the continent. Made of stone and hard granite, these mountains are almost impassable by normal means and very difficult to burrow through. This added to the importance of their passes and their blood-soaked history speaks to that prominence. The most important among these is the Sentinel Road passage, that has seen more battle than almost any other pass in the world throughout history.

For similar reasons, they are also known as "Fort Mountains" - due to a high concentration of various fortifications that have been built along their slopes and ravines. Many of these now lay in ruin, reclaimed by their surroundings, yet evidence of their existence still bears witness to the mountain range's history. Looters and roaming bands often scour these remnants in search of any useful loot or valuable relics, while patrols from surrounding regions seek to establish further footholds in their contested territory.
