As the man at the head of the Anointed Order of Adar, the Highest Father Lord Ludwig is one of if not the most powerful man on Oscana.

He has been Highest Father for over 20 years, since Highest Father Lord Ulrich's passing from the Black Fever.

Raised within the Order, Ludwig was a star pupil from the outset. He was in the top of his class nearly every year, and voted class prefect nearly as often. He went into the clergy two years earlier, something unheard of. After spending nearly two decades as a Footpriest (a role regularly used as a punishment, but one he saw as a way to directly interact with the common folk) he set his sights on advancing within the church.

He ascended through the ranks quickly, becoming Highest Son within two years, second only to Highest Father Lord Ulrich, another unprecedented occurrence.
