New Dawn Laboratory Complex

New Dawn Laboratory Complex is the network of labs built for Project New Dawn. Due to lack of overground space, the complex is entirely subterranean and a significant proportion of the Novo Bazhayevka sits on top of these out-of-use facilities.

Architecture

Very little of NDLC protrudes from beneath the ground, rendering its outside appearance irrelevant. The actual construction consists of a selection of uniform modules, built for key purposes, that could be constructed and linked together easily. The end result is a labyrinthine network of rooms and corridors, disorienting to navigate by nature of many of the spaces appearing the same as those that preceded them.
The labs are constructed almost entirely of a heavy, resilient metal, able to bear the weight of the city above them and also providing some defensive measures; in the event of an accident or break-in, modules can be closed off and are near-indestructible, sealing in any intruders or biohazards inside until they can be removed and thereby keeping scientists in other modules from infection or injury.
