Candlenight

Candlenight is a celebration that occurs on the 25th day of Frostmonth and involves gift-giving, spending time with family and renewing one's self for the coming year.
Most households take in a tree and decorate it to adorn their homes and many festivities occur that involve partying, drinking and giving gifts to loved ones.
A particular part of this holiday that began in Dûrandur and spread to most of Khusan involves the building of a giant straw goat.

History

Candlenight is believed to have began when an elderly gnomish toymaker sent toys to children all over the city in which he lived out of the goodness in his heart. He did this for many years and soon enough it caught on, with many people gifting presents to one another and lighting candles, just as the old gnome did to light up his workshop.
